Quad City Leadership Alumni Association

As part of the new Quad City Leadership Academy, the Quad City Leadership Alumni Association has been created with a purpose to continue the leadership development for our communities emerging leaders, to actively promote a culture of learning and reflection, to champion excellence in leadership, and to aid in improving the Quad Cities. It will also provide opportunities to:

• Expand networks and social capital.
• Expand on the leadership gained.
• Apply knowledge through work opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and mentoring.
• Stay current with community, leadership, and other issue/topics

There are many benefits to membership in the Quad City Leadership Alumni Association. Some of these benefits are:
• Special Members Only Events - Networking events will give QCLAA members an opportunity to meet other area leaders in the business community. These events will include a short program about a local issue or leadership topic.
• Half Day Workshops - Workshops will be presented to help train attendees on various leadership topics. Discussion groups will help challenge attendees thoughts and views. Discussion groups will be formatted in an open forum about a current local, national, or international issue or problem.
• Organized Community Service Opportunities - Get involved! Group community service volunteer opportunities allow participants to work on a limited time commitment in a group setting to accomplish a larger goal.
• Board/Committee Openings Postings - Local board and committee openings will be posted for easy access. Learn how you can become involved with area organizations.
• Monthly E-Newsletter - Keep up-to-date on leadership skills, job opportunities, and “grapevine” announcements about what is happening in and around the Quad Cities.
• Off the Beaten Path Tours - Ever wonder how some Quad City area favorites are made? What is happening inside of those places that are not easily accessible? Here’s your chance to learn about these places of business, why they call the Quad City Area home, their history and futures, and their views on leadership.
